The Most High’s Name is YHWH

The Most High’s Name is YHWH

Do you know the name of the Most High? If you ask most English speakers, unfortunately they will most likely say it is God, which is incredibly wrong. If you ask a Christian, unfortunately it may not be that different at this point in history. And if you ask a Christian (or Jew) if they know what the Tetragrammaton “YHWH” is, many will say again that it is the Name of God. Pressing further, if you ask those same Christians, “Do you mean it is The Name of The Most High?”, they will most likely be able to say, “Yes”.

  1. So why doesn’t anyone use it when they are referring to The Most High One?
  2. Would you like it if everyone called you by the wrong name without your permission?
  3. And show me where in the Bible it says YHWH wants you to call Him God. You cannot, because it is not in the Bible, because He clearly and abundantly the exact opposite, that He wants you to give glory to His Name.

According to the oldest forms of the Holy Bible1 that we have today (Dead Sea Scrolls, 200 BC), the Most High said Himself that His Name is YHWH:

“I am YHWH, that is My Name, and My Glory I will not give to another, neither My Praise to carved images.” (Isaiah 42:8, Dead Sea Scrolls)

“But you who forsake YHWH, who forget my holy mountain, who set a table for Gad (pronounced God) and fill cups of mixed wine for Meni, I will destine you to the sword, and all of you shall bow down to the slaughter, because, when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you did not listen, but you did what was evil in my eyes and chose what I did not delight in.” (Isaiah 65:11-12)

This text from The Book of Isaiah is from the 800s B.C. because that is when Isaiah was alive. The Dead Sea Scrolls recorded the Sacred Name, in its ancient form of Paleo-Hebrew, that existed at least as far back as the time of the First Kingdom of David in 1000 B.C. And even before that, YHWH spoke to Moses on Mt. Sinai in around 1400 B.C., and said this was His Name,

Thus you shall say to the children of Israel YHWH has sent me to you. This is My Name forever and this is my remembrance to all generations. ” (Exodus 3:13-15)

Besides the Bible, we have several artifacts that attest to the Name of The Most High of the Hebrew people from ancient times. The oldest artifact found to date that contains The Sacred Name YHWH is a stone monument from ancient Moab (modern-day Jordan) called the Meshe Stele, that is from the late 9th century BC, that refers to the people of Israel and their deity YHWH.

We have to really be careful about what words we use.

“Every idle word that men shall speak they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified and by thy words thou shalt be condemned ” (Matt 12:36)

Words have power. YHWH spoke the universe into existence. He is telling us how important words are. We are to proclaim our belief in Him through words. Words are more powerful than we can comprehend. This is why the enemy has used them to work against us. As Christians we think we are somehow exempt from this happening to us, but most of the New testament warnings are spoken to the Church, so clearly we are not exempt from being deceived.

Let No Man Deceive You

When the Apostles asked YHSHA ( aka Jesus), “what will be the sign of your return?”, He said first, “Let no man deceive you.”(Matthew 24:4) Clearly this would be the biggest problem with our time period, because He said it before He said anything else.

To understand the truth of what words mean, we need to know where they came from. In our current Bible, it is supposed to say “YHWH” almost 7000 times, but it was changed to “God” or “Lord”. This practice was started by the Jewish people themselves, once they returned from exile in Babylon, because they began to claim that The Most High’s Sacred Name was too great to be spoken. This was an infiltration of the lie, to trick people to not use His name, because His power is in it and the enemy wanted us to lose and forget the Name.

YHWH says:

“And now O priests this commandment is for you. If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to My Name, ” says YHWH, ” I will send a curse upon you” (Malachi 2:2)

How long do the prophets delight to prophesy lies, even prophesying the deceit of their own heart? Think they to cause my people to forget my Name by their dreams, which they tell every man to his neighbor, as their forefathers have forgotten my Name for Lord (Baal). (Jeremiah 23:25-27)

Blessed Be The Keepers of The Name

Thankfully, despite coverups, and historical language and alphabet changes, we still have the Name of the Most High in its Paleo-Hebrew form, thanks to devout Hebrews who strove to preserve the Sacred Name so we could have record of it today. Even though it was forbidden to be spoken, the Samaritans and The Essenes (the Nazerenes and Ossaeans) continued to write it in the Paleo-Hebrew even as the popular language changed, even when writing the rest of the text in the language and alphabet of the day (Aramaic). The Dead Sea Scrolls is an example of this. This is why the Dead Sea Scrolls are so important, because they show us the Name and how it was written in 200 BC and older. It is important because this is one of the huge ways the enemy has worked to diminish the power we have in Our Father, in exercising His real Name, as well as our Savior’s name.

So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who revere YHWH and who meditate on His name.  (Malachi 3:16)

The Name Preserved in Biblical Names

Although the Sacred Name was removed from The Bible, we still have it preserved in the naming conventions of ancient Hebrews who were followers of YHWH, as it was customary to be named after Him, having either (Yah or Yahu) in their name.

  1. Matthew = Mattityahu

We also have it preserved in terms used by believers that we still use today:

  1. “Halleluyah” means “Praise Yah”

The Most High’s Name – What it is and What It is Not

By now, you should be able to see that it is clear what the Most High’s Sacred Name is. It is YHWH. And with this you can also see what it is not. It is not “God”.

Going forward, it is very important that Christians stop using the word “God” to refer to YHWH. There is one that benefited from the loss of the Most High’s Name. It is the enemy, so it is important that all Christians turn from the use of this term and honor YHWH as He deserves. Read more about this in The Unholy Truth About God)

“Do not remember the name of other mighty ones, nor let it be heard from your mouth. ” (Exodus 23:13)

It is no small thing. It is huge, and due to Christians lack of understanding and complacency, this error has been spread across the whole world. It is time to take the necessary steps to right this wrong however we can.

Because are you even a Christian if you don’t know the name of who you supposedly believe in, worship? Because the Power of YHSHA’s Name is that is a based on YHWH’s Name. You remove that, you remove the power.
